A very exciting announcement

Photo from Opening Night at the Spring Art Show
And just like that, it was Spring!
Thank you everyone who made it down to the Spring Art Show last week. This show was not only a pleasure to take part in but for me personally, a benchmark I had set myself when I first became a full-time artist. It’s great to have now achieved that goal and have met so many of you outside of a screen.
The eagle-eyed of you will have seen in on my display a subtle announcement of something very big, but to everyone else I have some very exciting news to share:

“Homebody” Official Poster
I can proudly announce my first Solo Show will be taking place at the end of May this year through to mid June. “Homebody” has been a work in progress for about six months now and will be hosted by the wonderful Anteros Arts Foundation in their Main Gallery. It has been excruciating to hold back my new paintings but I’m very excited to be able to reveal them especially for this exhibit. I also have the privilage of sharing this experience with the linocut legend Haychley Webb (Stellabox Designs), who will be exhibiting in the front gallery at the same time. Haychley was one of the first friends I made in the Norwich small business community so to be doing our solo shows together makes it extra special.
“What is “Home”? Is it a physical reality or a mental state? Many individuals find a sense of connection to Home, but for an increasingly large number of us, Home is a melancholic shadow of a feeling, perpetually out of reach. As our society grows ever more dependent on globalism, it's now in our blood to be in transit, but what have we lost in the process?
Homebody is a collection of figurative paintings and drawings exploring three key themes to the meaning of Home - Physical Space, Interpersonal Connections, and connection with The Self. As a person who has moved house ten times in as many years, the exhibition focuses on the conclusion of my findings being a combination of each, and reflects the emotion realised during the creation of the works.”
Open daily, you can view the exhibit between the 28th of May until the 9th of June 2024. All are welcome to Opening Night on the Thursday 30th of May (6pm-8pm) where I’ll be there to chat to you all and explain the works in depth, and also for the Meet The Artist event on Sunday the 9th of June between 1pm and 3pm.
As a little thank you, this months’ discount code on my online shop is “SpringArt15” valid until 23:59 on 07/05/24.
