An Autumn of Art 🎨🍂
What's in store for this season
And just like that, it was already Autumn.
I write this newsletter from Norwich Art Shop, with the door wide open for customers on what is likely already the last time this year. The hot water bottle is in action, and the fallen leaves spill into the entrance.
You may be wondering, “But Pinch, why did you forget about us in August? Where was your extremely riveting newsletter?” Well, dear reader, I got busy and dropped the ball on that one. But let me catch you up:
Ink And Engines Festival:
Somehow, someone let me display my monstorously large pieces at The Norfolk Showground. Ink and Engines is a new Norfolk Tattoo and Car convention and who am I to deprive them of wall decor? I got to use a scissor-lift, and talk to so many people about what I do and why. Thank you to those who came down, and those who are new to PinchPost after meeting me there. I can happily inform you that through Ink and Engines, my original artwork “Tribute” found a buyer and is now in it’s new home Voodoo Daddy’s Showroom. Very Conveniently, VD’s is one of my favorite bars so I get to visit it still. ❤️ You should, too!

Residency at No.1 St Benedicts:
After a short pause to re-stock, September came and with it did my residency at No.1 St Benedicts Street. The Framing Workshop is nestled in the heart of Norwich Lanes and the building itself is subject to many classic paintings so was extremely fitting to house me for two weeks. With views of the city at almost all angles from the workshop, I was able to really focus on how I want to proceed with my artistic practice. One thing I have struggled with is chosing a niche to specialise in, and I’m happy to say I have at long last come to a conclusion. This will stay under wraps for now, but I’m pleased with the outcome.
